THE ELM SUITE
Riots of colour
On sombre squares,
Small and smaller
Singing roundabout tunes.
Looping and swaying
Shapes strain the periphery,
Swinging back to the centre
Leaning into the depth.
Fluid unknowns that
Flirt with our memories,
Yield resurfacing connections
Or untethered visions.
Let yourself go,
Allow play to emerge
And swallow you whole
Into paint’s shapely colour.
